He was graduated (1988-1993) from College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati. Obtained M.V.Sc. (1993-1995) and Ph.D. (1995-1999) degrees in Veterinary Immunology from Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, U.P.
In the capacity of Principal Investigator, Dr. P. Anand Kumar has been implementing research projects funded by different external funding agencies under competitive grants. Presently he is Principal Investigator of the centre for National Network Programme “Indian Network for Fisheries and Animals Antimicrobial Resistance (INFAAR), coordinated by Indian Council of Agricultural Research - Food and Agriculture Organization of UN (ICAR-FAO).

Awards: Nil Achievements: Natural products and phytochemicals that exhibit antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory properties have been explored for their activity against bacterial pathogens and their pathogenesis in bubaline mastitis in vitro, for complementary theapeutic approach.
