Prof(Dr) MAKKENA SREENU
Prof(Dr) MAKKENA SREENU assumed charge as Associate Dean , College of
Veterinary Science, Garividi on 06-02-2023. He did his BVSc & AH(1988-93) ;
MVSc In Veterinary Surgery & Radiology (93-95)and Ph.D (95-98) from College Of Veterinary Science ,
Tirupati and worked as Assistant Professor at College of Veterinary Science Tirupati
(1998 to 2001) and NTR college of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram (2001 to 2007); Associate Professor
(2007 to 12 ) at NTR College Of Veterinary Science , Gannavaram. He was promoted as Professor and worked
in the department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology and Veterinary Clinical complex at
College of Veterinary Science , Korutla, telanagana state(2012 to 2015) and later in the same
capacity in the department of Veterinary Surgery & Radiology, NTR College of Veterinary Science,
Gannavaram (2015to 2023). He served as the Head of the department for a period of 22 years continuously
and Instrumental in uplifting the department as founder Head and established two departments i.e
VSR and VCC as per VCI norms at NTR CVSc, Gannavaram, AP and CVSc, Korutla, Telanagana state.
He was author for 10 Laboratory manuals and guided 20 MVSc and two Ph.D students and for more than
65 MVSc students as member of Advisory Committee. He handled three Projects as Principle Investigator
and Co-principle Investigator funded by state and DBT. He has published more than 280 research and
popular papers in national and international journals. He is recipient of State Best Teacher award
during 2018 and fellow of Andhra Pradesh Akademi of Sciences 2019.
