The college was established on 08.09.2003 as a part of SKPP Multipurpose Agricultural Polytechnic which was under the control of ANGRAU, Hyderabad. Initially, the courses offered were pertaining to Diploma in Poultry Polytechnic.
This college was functioning in SKPP Educational Trust Buildings located at main road Ramachandrapuram.
During the academic year 2008-09, the diploma course in poultry polytechnic is discontinued and new course as Diploma in Animal Husbandry Polytechnic was initiated.
