Prof. Bollini Sreedevi, assumed charge as Associate Dean, NTR College of Veterinary
Science, Gannavaram on 30th October, 2021. Dr.Sreedevi obtained BVSc&AH and MVSc
(Veterinary Microbiology) from College of Veterinary Science, Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh
Agricultural University in the years 1993 and 1995. She got her doctorate in Veterinary
Microbiology from Veterinary College, University of Agricultural Sciences, Bangalore
in the year 1999. Dr.Sreedevi did her Post Doctoral Fellowship in Animal Biotechnology
from Ohio State University, USA in the year 2006. She joined the University as Assistant
Professor in the Year 1999 and served in various positions. Dr.Sreedevihas 22 years
of experience in teaching, research, and extension. She has carried out research
projects funded by DBT. Dr.Sreedevi has published 90 research articles in various
nationally and internationally reputed journals. She has guided 1 PhD and 10 MVSc
students as a Major Advisor. Dr.Sreedevi has organized National Conference of IAVMI
and Winter School of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi.
Dr.Sreedevi is recipient of Senior Research Fellowship of Council for Scientific
& Industrial Research, New Delhi; DBT Long Term Overseas Associateship of Ministry
of Science and Technology, New Delhi; Lal Bahadur Shastry Young Scientist Award
of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi; Dr. GouriGanguly Young Scientist
Award of Indian Science Congress Association, Kolkata; ANGRAU Young Scientist Award

is Fellow of National Academy of Veterinary Sciences, New Delhi. She has undergone

in the year 2010 under National Agricultural Innovation Project of Indian Council
of Agricultural Research, New Delhi. Dr.Sreedevi has presented many research papers
in national and international conferences.

Significant Achievements :
- Standardized immuno-diagnostic kits for the detection of Newcastle disease virus in poultry.
- Standardized PCR and DNA probe methods for the early detection of M.tuberculosis complex organisms in clinical samples of cattle.
- Investigated and identified the viral etiology of allergic mastitis (Ulcerative Mammillitis) as Bovine Herpes Virus for the first time in graded murrah buffaloes in Andhra Pradesh, India.
- Anti-viral therapy with Acyclovir was evaluated for the first time and found to be effective in the treatment of ulcerative mammillitis of buffaloes
- Studied the sero-epidemiology of brucellosis and Infectious Bovine Rhinotracheitis in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh that has given an insight into the disease prevalence so as to take up the strategic control measures.
- Studied the epidemiology of Bovine Microfilariasis in coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh and standardized different staining techniques for the detection of Bovine Microfilariasis suitable for field conditions.
- Evaluated various commercially available IBD vaccines for their efficacy and to know their impact on RD immunity and justified the usage of live intermediate plus vaccines in the endemic areas of IBD.
- Studied the epidemiology and hematological changes in chicken infectious anemia in commercial poultry flocks.
- Phylogenetic of the Indian very virulent Infectious bursal disease viruses was made and compared with other vvIBD sequences of the world.
- Conducted studies on single nucleotide polymorphisms in infectious bursal disease virus using Real Time PCR technique.
- Anti-biotic resistance and probiotics for canines.
