The Animal Husbandry Polytechnic college was established at the LRS, Garividi, Vizianagaram District in the month of October, 2005 under the control of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University vide University Proc.No.1746/Acad.I/A2/2005, Dated: 07.10.2005 of Officer on Special Duty, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati.

Dr.R.Mahesh

Dr.R.Mahesh, Assistant Professor, assumed charge as Principal (i/c) of Animal Husbandry Polytechnic, Garividi on 30-05-2018. He acquired B.V.Sc. degree (2009) and MVSc (2011) in Veterinary Surgery and Radiology from NTR College of Veterinary Science, Gannavaram, Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University, Tirupati. He published more than 50 clinical articles in national and international journals. He is Life member of Indian Society for Veterinary Surgery, Indian Society for Advancement of canine practice, Andhra Pradesh Veterinary Council, North East Veterinarian Journal. He is Member of editorial board for Journals: Animal and Veterinary Sciences (ISSN: 2328-5842 [Print], ISSN:2328-5850 [Online]) and International Journal of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry (ISSN:2456-2912).
