The department was established in the year 2010-11. Dr, B.Eswara Rao was founder Head of department until 2016. This department deals with different livestock products and their processing. Entrepreneurial training programme is running successfully from 2012 till to date. This department has developed and standardized several meat, milk and egg products. This department has organized stalls on livestock products at different villages. This department has given trainings to Veterinarians, Veterinary Assistants, DWACRA women on livestock products processing and developing to small scale industry. This department has visited different dairy plants with students for practical exposure. This department has carried out a research project entitled “ETHNIC MEAT PRODUCTS IN RAYALASEEMA REGION OF ANDHRA PRADESH – A SURVEY ”.
