Department of Veterinary Microbiology

About

Department of Veterinary Microbiology was established in the year 2008 and the undergraduate courses commenced in 2009. So far six batches of under graduate students (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013 batches) completed their courses from this department. The 2014, 2015 & 2016 batches of B.V.Sc.,& A.H students are on rolls for the courses in the department of Veterinary Microbiology.

Mission of the Department:
  • The department main motto is to impart quality education and imparting hands on training in basic microbiological techniques at UG level.
  • The department of Veterinary Microbiology aims to emerge as a referral centre in the identification and control of various infectious diseases of livestock, thereby building confidence among farmers of this region and heading towards sustained production.
